Who it’s for

We teach children, adults and musicians.

01 / Children

First notes through play.

An engaging, playful process that helps children pick up the basics of music with ease and develop their ear and sense of rhythm, through fun tasks and an individual approach.

02 / Adults

The tunes you love, in your hands.

Learn to play your favourite tunes or polish your technique, whatever your level, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

03 / Musicians

Accompaniment and improvisation.

Discover creative freedom: learn to accompany yourself or others in any style and create your own music, even without much playing experience.

Life at the academy

A look at piano lessons at I Sing

We combine classical technique with a modern approach to teaching, so every student plays with understanding rather than memorising notes by rote.

Every lesson follows a structure that gets results:

  • Finger warm-up and ear training
  • Hand position
  • Learning the notes and technique of a piece
  • Rhythm and dynamics
  • Basics of accompaniment and ensemble playing
  • Learning the tunes you love, old and new
  • Feedback from your teacher and homework

You can start at any age and from any level, even if you’ve never sat at a piano. Playing the piano is a skill, and you can develop it at I Sing.

What you’ll get from your lessons:

  • Read music confidently and without strain
  • Develop a correct hand position and a free, easy technique
  • Master the basics of accompaniment and improvisation
  • Play your favourite tune on your own

How it works

From the first notes to playing freely.

  1. 01Playing-level diagnostics

We assess your starting level, ear and goals, then build a personal lesson plan.

  2. 02Hand position and technique

We set up a correct hand position, release tension and develop a free, flexible wrist.

  3. 03Repertoire and musicality

We choose repertoire that matches your interests and work on phrasing and dynamics.

  4. 04Accompaniment or performance

We prepare you for a specific goal: playing for yourself, accompanying or recording.

Reviews

What I Sing students say.

“The best vocal classes ever! After a few weeks of online courses, I learned more than in 5 years at my music school. Highly recommended!”

Teacher: Viktoriia Yurchenko

“After several failed attempts I finally found a teacher who combines a modern, science-based approach with a conservatoire education, and who isn’t a ‘dictator’. I really value that.”

I Sing student

“A very talented coach. I’d tried working with different teachers before, but none of them taught in such a structured way. Lots of well-chosen material for practice and homework, all backed up with videos or images so it’s easier to understand. I can see real growth in every lesson. Highly recommended!”
